Anne Arundel Student Career Excellence

  • The end of the school year in June marked the successful completion of the first year of Anne Arundel County’s new Career Coaching initiative under Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. Each middle school was provided with a dedicated Career Coach focused solely on career exposure and exploration.

  • Four hundred students attended Central Middle School’s Mini Science Fair, a collaboration between AASCE and the Science Department.

  • Over the course of the summer, AASCE partnered with Maryland Leadership Workshops (MLW), and Anne Arundel Community College to build on students’ learning during the school year through various summer opportunities.

  • During the first quarter of the 2024 to 2025 academic year, Career Coaches taught sixth and seventh grade students about life GRIT life skills and explored how students use GRIT in their daily lives

  • During the summer, four teachers from Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) completed externships with Fort Meade Alliance (FMA) member companies in cybersecurity.
