During the winter, AASCE Career Coaches hosted wonderful events, such as the Crofton Middle School Surprise Assembly, Corkran Middle School Career Day, and Central Middle School Career Day.
Crofton Middle School Surprise Assembly
Mariyah Bryant hosted Coach Ty Nance at Crofton Middle School on December 18th. The Surprise Assembly started with warm-up games on SOAR, Crofton’s motto, and GRIT, which was taught by Career Coaches in the first semester. Students that participated were rewarded with AASCE swag. Coach Ty presented the value of perseverance and education.
Corkran Middle School Career Day
Spencer Evans, in partnership with AVID, held Corkran Middle School’s Career Day on January 16th. Guest speakers from various industries presented in eighth grade classrooms.

Central Middle School Career Day
Sharita Ali had Central Middle School’s Career Day on February 4th. In the auditorium, presenters at tables engaged students by giving out swag for students. Additionally, the Navy Band played music such as the Star War’s theme song, for the classes that visited the auditorium. Other presenters were escorted by student ambassadors to speak in classrooms.
